Celebrate your love of sustainable, fresh local food!
Since 2005, the Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy has protected over 6,000 acres of farms and working lands in western NC and east TN. Production of healthy local food, and our region's unique farm-to-table restaurants, depend on continued, active agriculture in the Southern Appalachians.
SAHC works to protect rare, nationally significant prime soils and working lands through conservation easements, helping local families continue farming traditions passed down over generations. We also provide access to affordable farmland through our Farmer Incubator Program, and partner with other organizations to host educational workshops.
Your "Local Farms - Local Food" merchandise purchase will help us continue to protect productive local farmland — because we can't have local food without local farms.
